Toyama Prefecture is prosperous in
various industries ranging from tradition crafts such as bronze,
lacquer and wood working to modern industries represented by
aluminum products. The Central Research Institute is directed
toward a materials laboratory. Through research and development
of advanced materials and their processing technologies in
addition to various technical services such as consulting and
testing, the institute makes efforts for technological
advancement and development in industrial sectors of Toyama
prefecture.
Central Research Institute covers a
wide field of industrial materials and products from traditional
crafts to frontier technologies. The primary activities are
analysis and evaluation of industrial materials and products
composed of metals, ceramics, polymers, and their composites. We
also carry out research and development of the materials and
processing technologies in order to improve the characteristics,
performances and functions and to widen the utilization and
applications.
